I don't think we could have crammed anything else into the last couple of weeks. Between back to school, back to work, back to karate, new routines, and weekend commitments, I'm embracing this Sunday morning of nothin' but football, house chores, and relaxing. Our new routines are finally starting to feel normal. The kids are getting used to being woken up and carted off to various locations during the week. I'm starting to get used to waking up at 5:00 to be in MV by 7:00. Rob and I are mastering the hustle and bustle of getting home, making dinner, cleaning up, getting kids bathed and to bed all by 8:00 pm. By Friday night we were exhausted. In fact we were in bed by 9:00 this Friday after an outing to Milt's with the kids. Here are a few pictures from our busy September.

| A beautiful bouquet of sunflowers from Rob. I was having a difficult time with things the other day. Sometimes the trials of daily life just seem so much more magnified by the loss of my mom. She would have so loved to see Jack and Ryan on their first days of school. She would have taken them school shopping and made sure they had everything they needed. She was so big on traditions...as I write this post, I feel such an emptiness that I can't share all of these things with her. Rob brought these home to cheer me up. They really brightened my day. |

What a big boy Jack is! I bet he loves school! I am sorry that all these firsts are yet another reminder of how missed your mom is. I like to think she knows though and that she was smiling as Jack and Ryan started their first day of school. Love you!
oh joelle, been thinking about you and still continue to pray for strength and healing! i'm glad you have a wonderful & caring husband, two beautiful children, and such wonderful family & friends that surround you to help get you through those rough days! love you friend!
Wow reading your daily routines just makes me tired! It is great that you have such a great team player to run through this routine with! The family picture in your Cardinals jersey's is fantastic!! You are in my daily thoughts and prayers!
Oh man, back to the daily grind...its a blessing and a curse! Can't wait to see all the fun fall activites the Day fam is up to!

Oh, there is that empty sort of aching feeling for your mom I am sure. We really never outgrow our need for a mother. Look to God and don't be afraid to ask for help and prayer. I am thankful your mom was such a wonderful example. You are a wonderful, loving mom to your cute kids!
Can't wait to have the Day's at our house for the weekend! I think your Mom was right there with both Ryan and Jack during their first day's of school... she made sure they had all that they needed in a way she wouldn't have been able to do on Earth. Love you - hurry up and get here me and baby Jordan are VERY excited :)
